Colourful Faith and Local Talent

An easier day today where we hung out around town. Banff is a fun and interesting place to hang out in and when The Bossess sent The Boss to the Post Office to send an old fashioned greeting and he didn’t return she tracked him down to a concert in Central Park.....yes they have one....and found he was spirited there by the lovely voice and lyrics of a local young lady and her guitar. There is something magical to be sitting in a plastic chair in a strange park listening to a wonderfully emotive voice wooing you and he was delighted to find she was on Apple Music so donated the price of a couple of CD’s Cos he wouldn’t have been able to play them anyway. By the time The Bossess had tracked him down on find friends on her Iphone there was a great bloke instead who to her surprise dedicated his last encore song to “Anne” and it was her and he added “Mind your man” as an after thought. It was a really nice song that he had sang earlier before The Bossess had arrived. Then they had crepes from a local caravan before heading back as a coldish wind had got up. (Extra)
Wednesday is Farmers Market day in Banff and there was a wonderful range of food and crafts where The Bossess bought some wonderful scarf loops from a lady called Anne who had wondered who the Anne was that got the dedication she had heard. The scarf loops came with a card with her YouTube video on how to use them. Wow marketing at grass roots?
The Cafes here all have free wifi with the passwords mostly displayed and have a very different operation model from NZ where they mostly want you gone ASAP. Here they don’t care if you stay all day and seem to encourage it.
