A day of pleasant surprises!

Al had a doctor's appointment this morning and was told he's doing fine, so we hitched Tabitha to the car and off we went.

The first hour on the road south I spent talking to my sister in law because she had just lost a dear friend. 

When we arrived at East Harbor campground we had no idea what it would be like,  but it is perfect!  Extra photo is our campsite. 

We found Marblehead Lighthouse and wandered around the park for quite a while,  chatting with people who liked my lighthouse sweatshirt. (Thanks again,  Tim!)

Then we explored the Chautauqua town of Lakeside, looking for a restaurant. 
It was really interesting,  but we opted to head closer to the campground. 

We found the Canoe Club on TripAdvisor and gave it a try.....so glad we did!!!
Turkey, apple, and brie croissants with BlackBerry Dijon sauce.....wow!!!
Now it's campfire and 5 crown time!!!
