Beech forest, Serrahn

Backblip

The Serrahn beech forest is designated as Unesco World Heritage site.
We took the discovery trail and learned a lot about the original beech forest.
The forest has not been used for 50 years. Sooner or later, it will develop into a pure beech forest.
Towards the beech forest was a spot with hammocks, an excellent site for total relaxation.
There I took this image, on the extras the trail through the real beech forest and me in the hammock.
