Old

I sat with my mother this evening as she watched TV.

Because conversation is impossible, I land up fiddling or clearing something that doesn’t need clearing. Her old sewing box was sitting to one side and this tin had buttons in.

It looks pretty old. I wonder whether it’s older than me.

Actually, I’ve noticed since posting this blip, that the tin is Australian. I was already born by the time they moved there so I am older than the tin!
