Let the geeks talk
Today has been a pretty run of the mill day. But after work I went to the evening kick off of Developer Happiness Days, an event put on through my work (JISC) for computer programmers to get together and talk ideas etc.
So this picture is of the evening "keynote". I've only put this up as I don't have any other blips and also because I quite like the fact that a few particular people are all together in one picture.
James Farnhill (JISC), Ben O'Steen (Oxford Uni), George Kroner (Blackboard), Owen Stephens (Imperial College), Ross Gardler (OSSWatch, Oxford Uni) and Matt Zumwatt (Mediashelf)...and in the foreground Chris Gutteridge ( Southampton Uni), Ian Ibbotson (Knowledge Integration) and David Flanders ( JISC ). He he ...luckily David has just joined JISC, good to have him as a colleague. He has organised this whole Developer Happiness Days event.
At this point in time (when this blip was blipped) this lot are talking about the pros and cons of the semantic web.
The blip I should've used, I really quite like this one, heavy rain in London
