Make do and mend

Eventually got round to some sewing jobs today. One pair of trousers shortened for Callum, one pair lengthened for Greg. I was pleased to find the pair for Greg didn't show the previous hem line. As I was sewing I tried to work out how old my needle case is. I made it at school, so it's at least 40 years ago, probably more like 45! Yikes. I wonder if they still do things like this at school now?
