Harewood Day 2
Final day of talks and discussions. A few tips picked up, although the best part for me was the quick tour round the house. Wonderful volunteer guides in the rooms, all very keen to talk and relate the history. I’ve seen a few historic houses, palaces, castles, but this was a gem. Not overly cluttered or fussy, but lovely pieces and art work. The front of the house is nothing special, but the back with superbly kept terraces is fabulous. The huge statue is one of a pair creating the entrance to the terrace at one end.
Five hour journey home, beans on toast for dinner and now to bed.
