The Water Tower At Niederlehme

This beautiful 27 meter  high tower was built in 1902 by Robert Guthmann using  kalksandstein  .Inspired by architecture from the 14th century it's stunning but there  are  two issues .:)
a) A rather ugly loud motorway which goes very close by .
b) Sold to a man who wanted to live in it he invested much in this architectural gem  only to be told any room lights he had would be dangerous for the motorway  so he couldn't live there  Cars !..
The saga as to what will happen to this continues .I think the "God Of Traffic" will win ..In my extra you see Robert Guthmann , an image as seen from the motorway & .another showing the beautiful top .
