Bergamo

A day in Bergamo today. We had a little difficulty navigating our way to the hotel as part of the road was closed due to an event taking place in the city. However we got there in the end, checked in at our hotel and then waited for friends who were arriving from near Venice.

Long queue for the funicular to get to Bergamo Alta, though the queue moves surprisingly quickly. Nice lunch in Bergamo alta and a walk around the town. In the evening we had dinner at a nice restaurant in the lower city.
