The Dea Sea

Taken from the top of the mountain where the ancient palace of Masada is. Masada was the palace of Herod the Great and is also the reputed site of the last Jewish revolt against the Romans in the first century AD. The temperature was around 36 degrees and this photo was taken at about 220 metres BELOW sea level. The Dead Sea is the lowest place in the world. We had a quick dip in it .....very strange ...almost a silky feel to the water and tastes disgusting! I didn’t mean to taste it :)
