Recovering

After a very rocky surgery day, Lincoln made huge improvements today. At 12:10 he was up and had some pain relief (after a lot of coaxing), then out of nowhere he ate an entire bag of tiny teddies. In the morning he worked hard to get ready to go home. He'd had a drip all night because he wasn't drinking anything. He managed to eat some grapes and have an ice block so he was allowed his IV out. We went home just before 10.

Outside the hospital there was a fire engine (due to a system fault that called them). I knew one of the firemen so he showed Lincoln the truck and gave him some stickers.

We headed home for a quiet day on the couch watching movies. He ate a few things throughout the day and by nighttime he had a bottle of milk and was taking all his medicines (5 of them!) without a fuss.

He's done really well.
