A Long Overdue Reunion

Oh my goodness.  Today I reconnected with an old school friend who I haven't seen for (gulp!) 45 years!  Maria and I were Dunottar School For Girls' worst tennis players ever, and consequently we always played against each other, as no one else would go anywhere near us when we were wielding our rackets!  Today, she arrived in Boston for an all too short visit -- and it's as if no time has gone by -- she's just as much fun as I remember.

So here we were back in the days when Wimbledon had nothing to fear, and now we've put aside our racquets in favour of torturing Mabel, who hates to have her photograph taken!  Photographic credit for today's portrait goes to the inimitable Mr. W.
