Sling

Visit to consultant, who happens to be D, our neighbour. Surgery might be necessary, but won't know for a fortnight. Holidays are cancelled, but having a correctly fitting sling makes all the difference. "Let it hang loose, you can't do anything more to it, its already broken," was actually helpful advice.
The invitation to call round if I needed extra help was kind, but as he already works twelve hour days I think I'll let that go. Thanks D.
