Not So ....

Silly Saturday. This Cooper's Hawk was all business!

We wanted to put the new SUV to a slight test today as we are planning on taking a road trip with it soon.  I have only been driving it around town and we wanted to take it out for a longer drive. 

We ended up at the Trexler Nature Preserve. While this location isn't hours away from home it's further than we have previously taken the Honda.  And it performed beautifully!

We drove through the nature preserve to see the elk and bison .... they are always so lovely to see.  While we were viewing the bison a van pulled up and two young boys popped up out of the sunroof!  I thought that was going to be my Silly Saturday blip until we saw this beautiful Cooper's Hawk whilst driving home. 

He was sitting on top of our neighbors Lexus waiting for a silly squirrel who just happened to be under the vehicle.  I hope he didn't scratch the paint!  After getting our photographs we scared him off so that the squirrel could escape unharmed for another day!
