Topping off the Scarlet Runners
This really is our first day of Autumn. The temperatures are down, the air is crisp and cool with the sun shining.
The scarlet runner flowers have reached the top of an apple tree branch. Lots of bean pods mean I am really going to plant lots of the beans next year to climb all over the landscape. What a joy for the hummers!
The runners also make beautifully blooming ground covers.
