Tay Mansions

Went for a drive this afternoon along the pretty coast road between Newburgh and Dundee and stopped to take several photos.  I couldn't help noticing the grand houses that were built along the river, but the only one I can identify is the ruined castle at Ballinbreich, which I have blipped before.
The other two may have been built by the wealthy jute barons of Dundee!

We ended up at Cairnie Fruit Farm which has masses of facilities for children and families, including a Maze, Go Kart track, zip wire etc etc as well as a very nice café and farm shop. Spent far too much in the latter on jams and chutneys!

The weather had changed on the way back and the Tay looked anything but silvery (see Extra!)
