So Much Fun!
We were busy bees today... the loft project has been going ok, although I had a couple of weeks off as Ms H prepared to and then left home. But I was putting off a bit crawling about in the eaves today that had to be done next... so I cut both lawns and trimmed the hedge so that I had no excuse not to do it. I also fitted in a bliphunt for funghi before the lawnmower took them down!
So I did the thing I didn't want to do, then Ms H helped me fix a few big sheets of insulation over the rafters, which was so much easier than putting insulation between the rafters although I have still perfect the knack! At a future point, some time away this layer will be covered by plasterboard.
At the moment I am focusing on getting to the stage where the gable end walls can be repointed... the mortar has been crumbling away since we moved here but I don't want to cover it all up without getting it fixed (by a professional) but there is a complex order of tasks I need to do before that including getting a c/h water tank moved (by a professional) and before that 3 or 4 things I need to do before I (the professional) move that water tank... they're not big jobs, and putting this insulation on today was one of those jobs.
When I eventually get to the gable end walls being done, all the complicated jobs (bar one) will be done and I hope to whizz through it... ha! We'll see..
Oh... I really hope nobody made it this far... there must be something else to do more exciting than reading this waffle... like watching some paint dry?
