The great leap northwards

Today was 350 miles driving - a motorway sandwich with N roads either side and some fiddly end bits. Battle of wills with Gertie - she really needs a main roads preference function.

Barrancos and badlands, sandstone gorges, vineyards and the sprawling industrial city of Zaragoza - Spain's 5th largest city. Spain is vast and varied.

Now here we are in the Pineta valley, a stone's throw from France having circled Spain. And I've not met a single roadworks, traffic jam or been stopped for longer than one cycle of traffic lights.
