Charleston!
Today F and I went into Shrewsbury and went to Jessops to get my dead dslr camera mended. It turned out to be the charger not the camera at fault and a new third party one was purchased. It was a much less expensive visit than I had anticipated!
We then went to the Quarry where a Guinness World Record attempt was being made to beat the largest Charleston Dance record of 975 people dancing. 1096 people turned up to dance and did brilliantly, dancing the routine for 6 minutes in the rain and cold, many in period costume. The record attempt will take a few weeks to ratify but hopefully they will succeed. I would have loved to have been able to join the dancing!
The photo is of a very photogenic lady giving it her all and the extra is of a small portion of the dancers mid routine. Well done to all concerned and a lot of money was raised in aid of Severn Hospice too.
We then had a meal in a pub and returned home on the bus.
