The bridge

This is the bridge that we have to go over to get in and out from our house.

It is n a pretty poor state of repair but the council says that they have no money to sort it. Which is pretty rich since it was their council refuse lorry which damaged it in the first place by coming down it too fast in the ice!!! Then a local haulier decided to take an articulated lorry up to pick up sheep. It made it up but nearly demolished the bridge and got stuck on the way back down!!!

It is very steep on both sides and a 4x4 is necessary to get up and down it in the winter weather. It is a bit disconcerting that on the side you cannot see there are only temporary flimsy barriers to stop a car plummeting into the river in icy weather!!!

I thought the monochrome was appropriate because it was a rainy grey miserable day and the bridge is looking fairly dismal too!!!
