Naked Ladies

Far too cold for that!
This is the name of these Autumn crocus, which have just pushed through the earth only to be greeted by this awful weather.
Very squally. Windy, heavy showers, and now early evening sunshine. What a mixed day.
Heating on as it was only 8C this morning.

We had an unexpected visit from Yorkshire Water this lunchtime.
Apparently they are checking all the pipes in the village, and heard a noise coming from the one outside our house.
Back today to check, and we have a slight leak between the road and our house.
We had no idea!
Nice to know these things are being checked out.
The downside is they may have to dig up the parking block paving, and even the garden.
At least it is now the backend, and not middle of summer.

We did learn that Yorkshire has the oldest water pipes in Europe ! Not many people know that!
