Lost in translation

During German class today I had a message from Little miss bossy „My almonds are swollen“...
Mandeln = almonds (but also tonsils)

Also during German, several students misunderstood „Karawane“ to mean „thing that people tow behind a car during peak holiday periods, causing huge traffic delays“ as opposed to „a number of camels trekking through the desert“.
