Montmartre
The Artiste in the little tourist area around Sacre Couer Basilica (In extras). There were several surrounding the square along with restaurants and the typical tourist shops. The basilica is on a hill overlooking the city of Paris and you wind your way down (or up) the street that leads to the center of the Montmartre district. Today we did quite a bit of walking looking for and walking through the covered Passages of Paris. We visited about 4, various shops and restaurants, very old and very quaint.
And so this is the last day of our trip - a trip I would never have taken if it were not for my friend who I hadn't seen in about 4 years. She asked if I would accompany her on this, her first trip since losing her husband one and a half years ago. It was emotional and full of fun and a few tears, but oh so meaningful. Tomorrow we will head to different coasts unsure of when we'll see each other again, but always staying in touch and never running out of conversation.
