If you feed them, they will come
Funny how that works - after months of an empty feeder hanging on the back porch, Laurie filled it this week and within minutes, the songbirds appeared. They're very flighty though, and flee as soon as I open the door to take photos. I caught this little red-breasted nuthatch off guard.
Look at her LARGE.
Very odd weather today -- one minute the sky is clear and blue, the next it's pouring rain and dark and gusty. Liza and I managed to find a window of time for a short scoot. There's been lots of flooding in the city the last couple of days - nothing too serious, but lots of roads with high water. We're traveling to the coast Thursday morning - the weather over there has been wild, 100 mph winds and serious flooding. The forecast is for less of that, but still wet. I hope our route is passable!
This will be our third Thanksgiving at this dog-friendly oceanside inn with a great view, fireplace, wifi - within scooter distance of some nice shops and a promenade. What more could a gal ask for?
