You rock!

The wind rocked the trees yesterday as this full gutter of apples showed. The pavement was covered with them. Makes you wonder what happpened to apple growers yesterday.

It was a different type of rocking the Minister Maree Todd MSP was referring to at tonight’s celebration of volunteers. The event, supported by Glasgow City Council took place in the City Chambers. The room was grand - see extra with the Minister at the lectern.

She extolled the virtues and commitment of volunteers whether panel members or AST members. (Many AST members serve in addition to their panel volunteering). She also said thanks to family and friends who support the sytem’s volunteers. And to the staff in local authorities who hel the system function.

As she said: “You Rock!”. I’m not convinced that was in the formal speech - it would not have been in my day - so it was all the more meaningful and heartfelt!
