I stayed in until I received the phone call that had been promised for 4 pm yesterday. Then an escape for a few hours before the next rain. 

Having eaten a good breakfast I decided to skip lunch and walk the Grasmere circuit from White Moss. It was head down and a brisk pace ...... no time to admire the scenery and I was determined not to get the camera out until I reached the boathouse. This is the view looking north ........ it's got rather overgrown with rosebay willow herb and other weeds/wild flowers on the other side.
