Newark Priory

Out walking with friends our usual route along the River Wey was blocked as the weir was being reinforced. So turned left instead of right and discovered Newark Priory. Apparently it was established in 1199 and disestablished in 1538. It is on an island surrounded by the River Wey. There was a very slight reflection of the priory in the Wey, pity the light wasn't better. Must go back another day, when it is sunny.
