APPEALING
Our favourite ten year old was unwell this morning and his mummy was busy, so we had an extra day with him. His tough Granny decided he'd feel better with a bit of fresh air, so we went on a gentle walk around the village, with the aim of 'noticing and taking pictures'. He led me into some odd corners and spotted interesting stuff, like peeling paintwork, unregistered cars and Irn-Bru delivery wagons. It seems I was also one of the 'interesting things' (extras).
'Is this a kind of lesson, Granny?'
'Yes, it's educational. You are learning how to use the camera and how to notice details.'
'Maybe we could do this every day instead of school?'
'Nae chance!'
