1787-2003

This former cotton mill complex was one of the oldest continuously operating factory in the country. After closure in 2003 no sympathetic developer was found so it fell into serious disrepair and following squatter occupation burned down then was demolished. The site is now being occupied by Aldi and a Starbucks drive through!! This is one of the worst examples of how our great industrial heritage can be allowed to disappear for ever.
