Chinese Lanterns

I think when I pot this Physalis up properly, I'll put them in something that will look good in the garden, but will be small enough to bring in the house to keep the slugs off them.

30 years ago, I had no idea what a Chinese lantern was, well not this sort, anway. My aunt moved house a lot and we were due to see her for the first time in ages. She gave me her address (remember - it was pre sat-nav times) and told me she would put Chinese lanterns in the window as the window faced the road, the door didn't.

As we were driving along, the only things I could see in anybody's window were orange flowers!
