Red Sky at Night

Sheperds Delight! Red sky in the morning, Shepherds Warning!

A commonly used phrase which has been around for a very long time. It is quoted in the authorised version of the New Testament "When it is evening, ye say, it will be fair weather: for the sky is red. And in the morning, it will be foul weather today: for the sky is red and louring."

It also appears in Shakespeare's Venus and Adonis from 1593. "Like a red morn, that ever yet betoken'd wreck to the seaman - sorrow to shepherds."

Is this true? The weather forecast is good for tomorrow, so maybe it is!
