Sarah and I have both visited the Acropolis before - I was last here over 30 years ago and Sarah in 2012. We were both thinking back to those times and talking about what has changed in our lives since then. I don't think that the Parthenon has changed very much, although there has been some restoration going on since 1983 and one side is still covered by scaffolding. This photo is recreating one taken of Sarah 6 years ago.

We have had a lovely day in Athens - a shame it's only one day, really. We explored the city on foot -17,000+ steps so far. Saw the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, spent a happy hour exploring the National Gardens, wandered through Plaka, ate a very leisurely lunch (bread, olives, gigantes beans, hummus and Greek salad minus the cheese) and took in some archaeological sites on the way.
