Don't get me wrong, I love a mince pie. I love all Christmas food because Christmas. A few years ago I made (reheated) an M&S Xmas pudding because Lisa insisted, and she was spending Xmas day with us.

Lisa was very excited about this. "I'VE BROUGHT RUM SAUCE!!!" she said at top Lisa volume.

I plopped it in front of her and she took a bite before making a face. "Eeeeeuuugh! That is (very bad word) rank!" she said.

I asked her why she had wanted some. "Because it is CHRISTMAS FOOD!!!" she reminded me. 

She made a very good point and more importantly, it was more pudding for me. So I will be definitely be buying mince pies this year. Also pudding.
