Praying

I was busy trying to get in close to one of my hummingbirds and almost missed the praying mantis that was hanging on the feeder. (see extra and check this one in large) I have had all day to get the shot I want. It is still there five hours later. He is not tiny, by any stretch of the imagination, but I was able to get in really close.

I am grateful that it stayed for so long. I have been entertained all day, going out checking on it and taking more pictures than necessary. I did rotate the main picture, as it looked a little weird hanging upside down.

I want to believe that this is one of my babies all grown up!
