Speckled

I went on a long trek via the allotment (not much wildlife today, only a pair of noisy magpies) to Halfords to secure a wee accessory that had been missing from the foot pump I bought last week. Don't suppose I'll ever be called upon to inflate a small toy now, but if I hadn't got the correct nozzle.....you know how it goes.

At the top of the very same steps where I found a crop of brambles the other day, I saw a butterfly flittering about. It was very flighty and almost impossible to blip - then I realised that there was not just another butterfly but two more butterflies, all fluttering around each other. Last chance before the colder weather sets in I guess. Good luck to 'em. I think they were Speckled Woods.
