A stationary moment
Chauffeuring my Mum to St Thomas's and almost there I spotted this little view in the early afternoon light...
Later I took a drive along the A13 to Grays. I enjoy travelling major London arterial routes you see and this has to be the most exciting.
Going out was a swirl of tunnels, underpasses and flyovers reaching out to the estuary hinterland of flood plains, pylons and engine plants. Heading into the city was even better, the light fading to a grey twilight with the docklands skyline in the distance, especially superb from atop the many flyovers a maze of pylons roads and brake lights guiding the way. All rather organic, a huge impression of the London as layer after layer of concentric rings.
