Gull count

These represent the dead gulls which we have removed from the more publicly accessible parts of the island. There were many hundreds more in the long grass and in remoter parts. People still come up to us shocked at the "slaughter," little knowing that most of the chicks were killed by other gulls, or died of botulism brought by their parents' unsavoury feeding habits...
Anyway, it's a pretty small percentage of the thousands of birds using the island
