Wind Damage

It was very windy during the night and this morning one of the branches on our biggest pear tree had broken. This might be a combination of wind, heavy fruit and perhaps some help from the deer. I have salvaged the ones that were not damaged or partly eaten by deer and rabbits and poached some of them in my slow cooker. I have quite a lot more to do and some can be seen in the bowl in this picture.
 
The back steps are now complete and work has started on the front steps. We have also asked for a quotation for rebuilding the steps in the orchard and restoring what was a patio before it was dug up by our first builder.

Warm and windy today, no rain so far although it does look as though it might rain.
