Life through the lens...

Antiques Road Show

If anyone saw the Antiques Road Show on TV this sunday, you would have seen a lady with a collection of ceramics and glassware, from Scandinavia (Not what I would call "antique" as they were from the 50s and 60s.)

I was very surprised to see a collection of glasses like these. All different sizes, the largest of which they valued at £50 for one glass!

These were bought for us in 1967 as wedding presents.
We did have 12 but now only 7 are left.

There used to be a shop in Bradford, on North Parade, called "Table Decor".
It sold very modern furniture , pottery, glass ware etc. Mainly from Denmark.

These glasses I just thought were so beautiful, with the tear drop in the base.
We put them on our wedding list, and were very lucky that two of my parents-in-law's friends both bought us 6.
They have have brought us a lot of pleasure over the years.
Used as wine glasses, but also for desserts, and great for old fashioned prawn cocktails!
A hope they last for many years to come!

Thankfully nothing needed doing at the dentists today, just a clean up!

Many thanks for all your nice comments and stars for my sunrise yesterday.
There wasn't one today, which has turned out dull, dark and wet! I hope tomorrow is better.
