Beauty is all around us.

Shopping trip by train to Accrington.

It is rainy here. but not as cold. No sign of a sunrise this morning as it was very overcast.
Thanks everyone for the get well wishes from the past few days. Much appreciated.
I am gradually recovering and have now taken four doses of the prescribed Amoxicillin which is helping me recover from the throat infection.
I am so glad the GP and Cohens the pharmacy have an efficent link delivery service.
By noon today I decided some retail therapy would be enjoyable, so I got warmly coated up with my scarf twirled round my throat snuggly and a bobble hat on my head. On Saturday I had seen some beautiful cushions with big chrysanthemum flowers in gold with silver leaves on a cream background.
They were very nice and only £5 each , down from £7.99.
So it was with these in mind I headed out to Store 21, a wonderfully tempting shop.
I bought the cushions, delighted they were still there, and a glass cylinder of shells for part of my Mum's Christmas present.
I had to wander about in the drizzle for quite a long time before the next train, but it was a successful shopping session.
Also went to the Pound shop for honey and lemon sweets, two bags for a pound and very soothing.
I bought some shoe grippers in case the weather gets icy.
I have never tried these before, but they are often advertised in the back of the Daily Mail.
I went into a coin shop and I was thinking of the Queen and Duke's Diamond Wedding Anniversary as it is today.
I found a Silver Wedding coin 1947 to 1972, and bought it, as my son Greg collects commemorative coins.
Browsed in the Victorian market and bought two cards, and a ball of chunky wool to continue knitting handwarmers.
