The giant rose

Mom had to make a "giant" rose for icing club.

Arrived home in time to see the final assembly.   The good and the bad of it.   Think the overall result was pretty spectacular.

Note : Those giant petals were shaped on serving spoons.


As she was putting the final touches to it, she looked up and  asked me if I thought she was crazy for trying to do it, at her age i.e. 86 and 3/4 years.

Of course I said NO.

Although I do sometimes wonder, if the stress and drama, is worth it.


IT IS WORTH IT !



This giant rose...... speaks volumes about the innate human "need", to create.   If you want to age gracefully, it is important to find ways to nurture your creativity.
