Contrast

Today 41 cities in Belgium, including our city Bruges, dedicate 1 day as a car free sunday. This means from 10 am to 6 pm , cars are not allowed in the city. It s an effort for making people aware of the air and noise pollution.A lot of music and other activities were going on in the city. I had to work but in between my workshift i took 5 min for a quick one. Out of 6 token pics i choose this one. Normally when i go out for photographing i don t take that many pics. Still a bit the old way. Taking too many pics makes it hard to choose which one.
I love this one because it shows some contrast between the gentlemen eating his ice cream and the isolated local folks on the bench. Somehow it reflects pictures of usa in the late 50' 60'. I uploaded also a version in B&W.
