Faversham Creek
What a day. Wonderful sunny, warm day. We went down to the Faversham Food and Ale Festival. A great cup of coffee, fascinating exhibitions and stalls, super value ale trail; 8 quarter pint ales to sample around the town and a glass all for £3.00. Plenty of pubs around the town too which will repay a further visit. There was also a sausage trail too, we declined but I think that was a mistake.
There was also the Faversham Abbey Physic Garden which was a revelation. Tucked away by the church is a walled garden which where there are loads of activities to help people with mental health issues or just want company and companionship. The Men’s Shed initiative also sounds interesting.
And if there are more interesting or beautiful streets in the country than Court Street and Abbey Street then I’ll need to see them.
We rounded the day with a walk along Faversham Creek through the chick Standard Quay and the rather more workaday Iron Quay where today’s blip was taken. Extras the Physic Garden and the Food Market in the Town Square.
