Rainy day walk

Yesterday the poor dog missed out on her daily walk along the road where she sniffs everything that might have been there before her and leaves a sign that she was there every five feet. So today I grabbed the umbrella and headed out for a walk in the rain with her. These photos are some of the wet things I saw. The umbrella was useless as the fine misty rain was moving sideways so I got wet anyway. It actually felt great as it is still warm here.

We were fortunate to miss the terrible rain and wind from Hurricane Florence. We have had rain and some wind but no power blinks or deluges. We actually needed this rain in our area as we have not had much this hot summer. My son in NC said they have had rain since yesterday afternoon but the forecast is not so dire as it was predicted. Thankful for that.

Keeping the people in North Carolina who are flooded out of their homes or have no homes in my thoughts too.

Sunshine, hot and humid is coming back tomorrow..still a little summer here. I am ready for fall.
