Funny ol' things, aren't they, families?

The two smaller humanoids have driven us round the bend lately - in their defence this is probably due to a cruel combination of back to schoolness and colds picked up as a result of back to schoolness - but excuse or no, they've been difficult to say the least.

And then you get moments such as these when they are absolutely engrossed in a story and - crucially - quiet and even the cat (who has also been a bit of a pain) are calm, settled and under the spell of their mother.

It's these moments that ALMOST make up for all the other stuff you have to put up with in the meantime!
