Prisoners of war

Gymnastics this morning for me and Pheebs whilst James and Alexander went to their first under 6’s football class. Alexander really enjoyed it by all accounts. He told me all about how to kick a ball and different activities that they did.

This afternoon I took the kids to a Napoleonic Prisoner of war camp which is open as part of the heritage open days. We pass the site everyday on the way to school so it was really interesting to hear about its past. We timed it well and tagged on to the back of the guided tour. We saw a re-enactment of some prisoners being processed, executed and even chasing an escapee! It was good fun but Alexander didn’t like the muskets being fired, they were rather load!
