American Blackpool

After a few days out on a retail park stuck in the hotel I decide to spread my wings a little and head down to the coast. I ended up passing Cape Fear (which looked quite cool) and arriving into a resort called Myrtle Beach. The hotel pool was quite nice and good to be swimming outside, but essentially this is the American Blackpool. Lots of bright lights and funfairs, all designed to appeal to the more sophisticated (mmm not sure about that) modern pensioner that grew up in the seventies rock era. You know those with long hair, shellsuits and still think they're young.
I did however go out for sushi and meet two delightful pensioner lesbians (in the Miriam Margolyes mold) who entertained me and cheered me up a little.
