If you can't beat them...

Solace Day 4. White Mill Bridge.

Bridge 61 on the canal also known as White Mill Bridges.   All the bridges are numbered and most have names.  I find it interesting to try to guess why they get their names.  This one is fairly simple but the bridge before it is Stanks bridge not easy to guess.  (I have no ideas).

A very wet day but as we had a booking to go down on to the Montgomery Canal on the next day we felt we had to press on.  The blip shows a boat making its way through the "Bridge Hole".   The reason I have included it is it shows how narrow the bridges are.  A Narrowboat is nominally 7 feet wide (modern ones more generally 6 foot 10) some of the old working boats have spread a little, caused by load carrying.
