A contractor arrived this morning to clean out our effluent pond. He pumped it out into his wagon, and then spread it onto our paddocks. This is a type of natural fertiliser, so is excellent for the ground, and in turns makes the grass grow.

The big slurry wagon in this photo is towed by the contractors tractor, and holds 16000 ltrs of effluent when full.

We have a fantastically briliant day today, the sun is shinning - it is certainly nice to feel that warmth on your back when outside.

Many thanks for all your kind comments on yesterday's photo. I'm afraid the 'girls meeting the boys' has been postponed for another day, as Farmerboy is not well today. So it is girl power milking this afternoon! But don't worry, the meeting will happen - watch this space!
