Lac de la Forcla

.... lies in a moon landscape at 2,450m, almost at the end point of our walk up the Derbon Valley today. I posted this one as a main blip because you can drive to Lac de Deborence (in the extra) the start and finish of the walk, 1000m below and 8km away. But there you can see autumn is starting. I admit to being exhausted now.... 8 hours is a long walk these days but what a stunning one. We saw, chamois, marmots, buzzards, kestrels, but no bearded vultures which are often seen in this valley. A great Thai meal was welcome when we were almost home. Thanks for a superb day Lindsey.
